Please review the following Competitor Terms & Conditions carefully. Registration is not complete until payment is received and the acknowledgment at the bottom of this email is completed.

Please include your name and “New England Grooms” with your payment so we can match it to your registration.

1. Registration, Fees & Cancellations

All competitors must be fully registered and paid in full to secure a ring space.

Registration fees are non-refundable due to limited class sizes and the upfront costs associated with awards and event expenses.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another groomer up to 14 days before the event — October 18, 2026. All transfers must be approved in writing.

2. Skill Level Placement

Competitors are responsible for entering the appropriate level:

Novice • Intermediate • Open

Levels should be selected based on professional experience and previous competition history.

New England Grooms reserves the right to review competition history and move a competitor to a higher level when necessary to maintain fairness.

All judges’ placement decisions are final.

3. Dog Safety, Health & Welfare

The safety and humane treatment of every dog is our highest priority.

All dogs entering Silver City Training Center must be current on their rabies vaccination, and proof must be available upon request.

Dogs must remain under control, leashed, crated, or safely secured when not on the grooming table.

Harsh handling, aggressive behavior toward a dog, or neglectful treatment will not be tolerated. Any competitor displaying inappropriate handling may be immediately disqualified and removed from the event without refund.

A judge or event organizer may excuse any dog showing signs of significant stress, illness, or injury.

4. Venue Rules & Liability

Competitors agree to follow all rules of Silver City Training Center.

Each competitor is responsible for cleaning up after their dog and keeping their grooming area clean. Please bring poop bags and clean up immediately after your dog.

Competitors participate at their own risk and release New England Grooms, Anne Francis, event staff, volunteers, judges, and Silver City Training Center from liability for injury, illness, loss, damage, or other claims involving themselves, their property, assistants, or dogs while attending the event.

5. Media Release

Photographs and video may be taken throughout New England Grooms, including during competition, judging, finished-dog presentations, and awards.

By participating, competitors give permission for these images and videos to be used by New England Grooms and event collaborators for social media, event promotion, recap posts, and future promotional materials without compensation.

6. Sportsmanship & Conduct

New England Grooms was created to bring our grooming community together for a fun, supportive day of competition.

Competitors are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully toward judges, volunteers, event staff, spectators, and fellow competitors.

Harassment, disruptive behavior, or serious unsportsmanlike conduct may result in removal from the event.
